Social Media Activists from Pakistan on an Exploration Trip

I know I’m writing after a long time, but I guess I am coming back with a good event that happened a couple of days ago. Pakistan is a country consisting of wide number of cultures and societies within it. There are many places in this region with are yet to be explored and let the world know about them. May be because I’m a Pakistani so my positive attitude is towards my motherland and this is not a bad thing. Everyone is proud of their own country, and so am I.

Social Media activists from Lahore decided to start a new concept of exploring Pakistan and managed the first ever Social Media Trip. The purpose of this trip was to gather all the people who are on social media and take them out for a trip to a place where they can take pictures and let the world know that how beautiful and rich their country is. This first ever trip was arranged from Lahore to Khewra Salt Mines. Khewra salt range is located in the north of Punjab province. Through Motorway it’s almost a 3 and half hours drive to Khewra salt range from Lahore, and would be around2 and half hours from Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. Khewra salt mines were discovered in 320BC and are the second largest salt mines in the world. Visitors have to walk around 1mile inside the mine, or can take a small train for those who cant walk, to reach the center from where the tourist spot is set up.

Pakistan’s Flood, Spiders Web Trees & Allah’s Blessing

My country Pakistan was hit by the worst flood ever on the plant Earth last year leaving thousands dead, millions homeless, no food, shelter, no medication and money. The two worst problems which humans face after such natural disasters are the food and medication. The left over effects of flood creates new diseases and the ones who didn’t die, starts suffering from one or more diseases. On of the major disease which can spread is Malaria. The flood water does not drain away quickly and at some parts create a pond of dirty water giving birth to million mosquitoes per night. From an egg to a flyable mosquito it takes 10 to 14 days, which means within half month after the flood the effect could have taken place. (click read more to see more pictures)

I Never Forgot TWO NATION THEORY, As Our Television Networks Had!

Menu Note Wakha .. Mera Mood Banay” (Show me bucks, make my mood) is the policy which our so called national television is following. It’s all the game about money, they don’t care who you are, how you are, what you are. All they care about is their viewership by showing things which fantasize and gains attention. Pakistan? Do they really care about? NO WAY! Cultre Cultre Cultre, we all talk about. Is this the actual culture we are showing on our TV channels in the dramas and shows? I swear I loved the time of PTV channel, when there was pure entertainment and the real Pakistan was shown to the world.

Kamran Akmal is the second person after Veena Malik to hit Twitter worldwide trend from Pakistan.
