I know I’m writing after a long time, but I guess I am coming back with a good event that happened a couple of days ago. Pakistan is a country consisting of wide number of cultures and societies within it. There are many places in this region with are yet to be explored and let the world know about them. May be because I’m a Pakistani so my positive attitude is towards my motherland and this is not a bad thing. Everyone is proud of their own country, and so am I.
Social Media activists from Lahore decided to start a new concept of exploring Pakistan and managed the first ever Social Media Trip. The purpose of this trip was to gather all the people who are on social media and take them out for a trip to a place where they can take pictures and let the world know that how beautiful and rich their country is. This first ever trip was arranged from Lahore to Khewra Salt Mines. Khewra salt range is located in the north of Punjab province. Through Motorway it’s almost a 3 and half hours drive to Khewra salt range from Lahore, and would be around2 and half hours from Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. Khewra salt mines were discovered in 320BC and are the second largest salt mines in the world. Visitors have to walk around 1mile inside the mine, or can take a small train for those who cant walk, to reach the center from where the tourist spot is set up.

Others who participated with us are Haris Nadeem, Usman Latif, Amna Tariq, Tayyiba Irum, Zain Majid, Usman Younas, Kamal Subhani, Haroon Mazhar and Farrukh Sattar.

“Menu Note Wakha .. Mera Mood Banay” (Show me bucks, make my mood) is the policy which our so called national television is following. It’s all the game about money, they don’t care who you are, how you are, what you are. All they care about is their viewership by showing things which fantasize and gains attention. Pakistan? Do they really care about? NO WAY! Cultre Cultre Cultre, we all talk about. Is this the actual culture we are showing on our TV channels in the dramas and shows? I swear I loved the time of PTV channel, when there was pure entertainment and the real Pakistan was shown to the world.
“Blessed be the sacred land. Happy be the bounteous realm, symbol of high resolve. Land of Pakistan! Blessed be thou, citadel of faith. The order of this sacred land is the might of the brotherhood of the people. May the nation, the country, and the state shine in glory everlasting! Blessed be the goal of our ambition. This flag of the crescent and star leads the way to progress and perfection. Interpreter of our past, glory of our present, inspiration of our future! Symbol of God, owner of glory’s protection.”
